The Forgotten War
The Forgotten War: Korean War Documentary
On July 25th, 1950, North Korean Army forces surged over the South Korean border in an all out invasion. Within a short time President Truman condemned this action and he sent US military forces to protect the south. Thus started the Korean War, the bloodiest fighting since WWII and a defining moment of the Cold War. Over 54,000 U.S. troops died in the fighting. It is estimated that ten times as many Korean and Chinese died. The Korean War is often called the forgotten war and it spawned an uneasy truce across the most heavily armed demilitarized zone in the world today. This platinum collection DVD documentary tells the story of this conflict in 40 minutes of digitally remastered footage and narration.
