This a Allied heavy transport glider that was utilized in the WWII Normandy and Market Garden campaigns. After the study of German successes with assault gliders the Western powers developed aircraft of this type. The Horsa was capable of carrying 25 combat troops or a large amount of war material. Six bonus aftermarket 1:72 scale British resin figures are included with this model kit.

This is the classic kit in the original shrink wrap, however the box is slightly creased. The Caproni Ca313/ Ca314 were comparatively small and light weight aircraft powered by two Isotta-Fraschini Delta RC35 twelve-cylinder inline engines of 700hp. These aircraft were constructed of a mixture of wood, metal and fabric. The Ca313/ Ca314 fulfilled a specification for a lightweight general-purpose combat aircraft capable of reconnaissance, light bombing, ground attack, training and torpedo-attack. Top speed was 250-270mph.

The Ta-152 was the last development of the Focke Wulf Fw 190 fighter with an inline engine. This latest example of the Focke Wulf Fw-190 fighter lineage was developed to intercept high flying Allied bombers flying over Germany, such as the American B-29 Superfortress. As such, this never happened but it was found that at specific altitudes the TA-152 could out turn some of the best Allied fighters, such as the American P-47D Thunderbolt or the British Hawker Tempest F.Mk.V. Many military historians have stated that the introduction of the Ta-152 was for Germany, too little, too late.
